TWO BIG REASONS this conference is so critically important in the work towards equity and liberation for Autistic, Neurodivergent, Chronically-ill and Disabled people:
1. Autistic, Neurodivergent, Chronically-ill and Disabled people are the organizers, designers, content creators, and presenters. This conference validates and legitimizes the lived experiences of Autistic, Neurodivergent, Chronically-ill and Disabled people through these positions of expertise/power and by providing equitable compensation.

2. The topics of this conference are very often not publicly addressed, especially from the perspective of Autistic, Neurodivergent, Chronically-ill and Disabled people. Some of the topics covered this year are even seen as taboo, especially as they intersect with disability.
